- In the area of Petri Nets: developed theory of Generalized Nets and found its applications in the fields of artificial intelligence, medicine, transportation, economy, telecommunications, systems theory, etc.
- In the area of Fuzzy Sets: developed theory of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and found its applications in the fields of artificial intelligence, systems theory, medicine, etc.
- In the area of Number Theory: generalized the Fibonacci Sequence, researches properties of arithmetic functions, formulates and solves extremal and combinatorial problems.
